EXHEAT Appointed to Provide Heaters for The Mariner Project

Watton, UK – DSME have appointed EXHEAT Ltd to provide 11 Ex e heaters for use at the Mariner Heavy oilfield, located in the North Sea.

The oilfield was discovered in 1981 and estimated recovery is at least 250 million barrels of oil. EXHEAT is pleased to announce it will be delivering the following units:

• Two 1016kW Ex e fuel gas import heaters and control panel
• One 963kW Ex e heating medium heater and control panel
• Two 315kW Ex e fuel gas superheaters  and control panel
• Two 123.5kW Ex e diesel oil heaters and control panel
• Two 70kW Ex e potable water tank heaters
• Two 70kW Ex e service water tank heaters
   

The Mariner project is located in block 9/11a of the North Sea, 150km east from the Shetland Islands, and is expected to produce 60,000 b/d when it comes on stream in 2017.
